VIGOR ("we", "our", or "us") operates the VIGOR mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
By using VIGOR, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Account Information:
Phone number — used for account creation and SMS verification via one-time passcodes (OTP)
Username — chosen by you during signup, displayed publicly on your profile and community plans
Password — stored securely on your device using encrypted local storage
Fitness Data:
Workout history, exercise logs, and fitness goals
Muscle group preferences and workout statistics (calories burned, workout count, active minutes)
AI-generated workout plans based on your preferences
Business Data (VIGOR Pro subscribers):
Fitness plans you create, including titles, descriptions, exercises, pricing, and uploaded images
Sales and revenue data for plans you publish on the marketplace
Social Data:
Chat messages and conversations with other VIGOR users
Friend connections made through QR code scanning or search
Device Information:
Device type and operating system version
App usage data for improving performance
3. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account with secure phone-based authentication
To deliver AI-powered workout recommendations and coaching through OpenAI
To enable the community marketplace for buying and selling fitness plans
To facilitate social features including chat messaging and friend connections
To process in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase

4. Data Storage
Your fitness data, workout history, business plans, and chat messages are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This means your data stays on your device and is not uploaded to external servers unless you choose to publish plans to the community marketplace.
Phone number verification is processed through Twilio's secure SMS service. AI features are processed through OpenAI's API with no personal data retained by the AI provider.
5. Third-Party Services
VIGOR uses the following third-party services:

OpenAI — for AI workout generation and AI coaching chat. Your fitness preferences and chat messages are sent to OpenAI for processing but are not stored by OpenAI. OpenAI Privacy Policy
RevenueCat — for managing the VIGOR Pro subscription ($24.99/month) and processing a $4.99 service fee charged to non-subscribers when purchasing community marketplace plans. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
Google AdMob — for displaying banner advertisements and app open ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. Google Privacy Policy

6. In-App Purchases
VIGOR offers the following in-app purchases:
VIGOR Pro Subscription — $24.99/month auto-renewable subscription providing access to business builder tools, plan creation, client management, marketplace selling, and the ability to purchase community plans without additional fees. Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings.
Non-Subscriber Service Fee — Users without an active VIGOR Pro subscription who wish to purchase community marketplace plans are charged a one-time $4.99 service fee per plan, in addition to the plan's listed price. VIGOR Pro subscribers are not charged this fee.
Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is never accessed or stored by VIGOR.
7. Advertising
VIGOR displays banner advertisements and app open advertisements through Google AdMob. These ads help support the free features of the app. You may see a banner ad at the top of the Home screen, which can be dismissed. App open ads may appear periodically when opening the app.
AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve relevant ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
Phone verification uses secure one-time passcodes that expire after 5 minutes
Passwords are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage
All network communication uses HTTPS encryption
We do not sell your personal information to third parties
9. Children's Privacy
VIGOR is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
10. Your Rights
You can delete your account and all local data by uninstalling the app
You can change your username (once every 30 days) through the Settings tab
You can manage or cancel your subscription through Apple ID settings
You can limit ad tracking in your device's privacy settings
You can request information about what data we hold by contacting us
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
